Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Gradora AI (“Gradora”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information. We wrote it in plain English. It is meant to meet GDPR and CCPA-style expectations.

Who we are

The controller for your personal data is Jakob Schönenberg (statusloop.dev), Germany. Contact: support@trygradora.com. Postal address: [POSTAL ADDRESS].

Data we collect

Account data: your name and email when you sign in with Apple or Google.

User content: PDFs, photos, audio and lecture recordings, YouTube links, notes, generated study sets, and chat messages with Grady.

Identifiers: an internal user ID so we can keep your study sets tied to your account.

Purchase information: subscription status from Apple. We never see your payment card or Apple ID password.

Basic technical and diagnostic data: device type, app version, and crash or error logs needed to keep the app working.

Why we use this data

To provide the service (create and store study sets, notes, flashcards, quizzes, and lessons).

To generate study materials with AI from the content you upload.

To manage subscriptions and restore purchases.

To answer support requests and keep the service secure.

Legal bases (GDPR): performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in running a secure product, and consent where required (for example certain sign-in or optional features).

AI processing

To generate notes, flashcards, quizzes, lessons, and Grady answers, your uploaded or typed content is sent to our AI provider (Google Gemini API) only to produce those results.

We do not use your content for advertising. We do not sell it. We do not use it to train a public model of our own.

Service providers

Supabase: database, authentication, file storage, and server functions.

Google: Gemini API for generation, and Google Sign-In if you choose it.

Apple: Sign in with Apple and In-App Purchases.

These providers may process data outside your country. Where we transfer data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

No tracking, ads, or selling

We do not run advertising trackers on this website or in the app for ads.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Retention

We keep your account and study content for as long as the account exists.

When you delete your account (in the app: Settings → Delete account), we delete your personal data from our systems, except where we must keep a limited record for legal or security reasons.

Your rights

You can ask for access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your data (portability), and you can object to certain processing. You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country.

If you are in California, you may have additional rights to know, delete, and opt out of “sale” or “sharing” (we do not sell or share as those terms are typically defined).

To use these rights, email support@trygradora.com.

Children

Gradora is not for children under 13. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 13, we delete it.

Security and changes

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method is perfect.

We may update this policy. We will change the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide a more visible notice when we can.
